Cookie Policy
What this website stores, what it sends to other organisations, and what you can do about it.
Last reviewed 31 August 2026
In short: this website does not use analytics, advertising, social media or tracking cookies. It sets no cookies of its own. The only technologies in use are those strictly necessary to serve the site securely, to process the forms you choose to submit and to run the live chat when you open it. That is why you are not asked to accept or reject cookies when you arrive.
About cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. Cookies are used for all sorts of things: remembering a choice you have made, keeping you signed in, protecting a form from abuse, or — the kind people most often object to — building a picture of what you look at across different websites.
“Similar technologies” means anything else that stores information on your device or reads information from it, including local storage, session storage, pixels, tags and device fingerprinting. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, consent is needed before non-essential technologies of this kind are used. Technologies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for do not need consent, though we should still tell you about them — which is what this page does.
What this website currently uses
We looked at what this website actually does before writing this page, rather than describing a typical website. Here is the complete picture.
Cookies set by Journeys Kind: none
This website does not set any cookies of its own. It does not store anything in your browser’s local storage or session storage, and it does not use pixels, tags or fingerprinting.
Strictly necessary technologies from our hosting platform
This website is hosted by Netlify, which delivers the pages, serves the images and processes our forms. To do that, Netlify:
- records limited technical request information in its server logs, including the internet protocol (IP) address of the device making the request, the date and time, the page or file requested and basic browser information — used to deliver the site, keep it available and protect it from attack and abuse;
- may set a strictly necessary cookie in a small number of situations, for example if we ever run a split test of two versions of a page (a cookie named
nf_ab), so that a visitor keeps seeing the same version. No split test is running at the time of writing; - applies spam and abuse protection to our forms, so that they cannot be used to flood our inbox.
None of this is used to advertise to you or to track you across other websites.
Our enquiry, referral, assessment, callback and careers forms
Nothing is stored on your device by our forms. Information is held in the page while you fill it in, and is only sent anywhere when you press the button to submit it. What happens to it then is explained in our Privacy Notice.
Live chat
The live chat opens only when you choose to open it. Your messages are sent to our own server function, which passes them to an artificial intelligence service provider that generates the assistant’s replies on our behalf. The conversation is held in the page’s memory for as long as your visit lasts, and is discarded when you close or reload the page — it is not written to your device, and no cookie is set. A copy reaches us only if you use the “Ask for a call back” form inside the chat.
Fonts served by Google
The two typefaces used in the site’s design (Fraunces and Karla) are requested from Google’s font service, fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Google Fonts does not set cookies for these requests and is not used here for advertising or analytics, but to send you the font files Google’s servers do receive your IP address and basic information about your browser. If you would prefer to avoid that, blocking those two domains in your browser or extension settings will simply cause the site to fall back to the standard fonts on your device; everything else keeps working.
Image delivery
Photographs are resized and served through Netlify’s image service from this same website address. No cookies are involved.
Links to other websites
A small number of links point to other organisations, such as the Living Wage Foundation, Care Inspectorate Wales and the Information Commissioner’s Office. Following one of those links takes you to a website we do not control, which will have its own cookie practices and its own cookie notice. Nothing is embedded from those sites into ours, so they receive nothing about you unless you click through.
What this website does not use
To be explicit, at the time of writing this website contains:
- no Google Analytics or any other analytics or visitor-measurement tool
- no Meta (Facebook) Pixel or other social media tracking pixel
- no advertising, remarketing or retargeting cookies or tags
- no embedded social media feeds, videos or maps that would load third-party trackers
- no cross-site tracking, profiling or device fingerprinting
- no sale or sharing of visitor data with data brokers — we do not do it, and we have nothing to sell them
The links to our social media pages in the footer are ordinary links. They load nothing from those platforms until you choose to follow one.
How to manage cookies
You are in control of what is stored on your device, whatever a website asks for. Every mainstream browser lets you see the cookies you have, delete them, block them for particular sites, or block them all:
- Chrome: Settings › Privacy and security › Third-party cookies, and Settings › Privacy and security › Delete browsing data
- Safari (Mac): Safari › Settings › Privacy, and Safari › Settings › Advanced › Manage Website Data
- Safari (iPhone and iPad): Settings › Apps › Safari › Block All Cookies, or Clear History and Website Data
- Edge: Settings › Cookies and site permissions › Manage and delete cookies and site data
- Firefox: Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data, and Enhanced Tracking Protection
- Android (Chrome): Chrome menu › Settings › Site settings › Cookies
Most browsers also offer a private or incognito window, which discards cookies and site data when you close it, and a “Do Not Track” or global privacy control signal.
Blocking all cookies will not stop this website from working, because it does not rely on any. It may affect other websites that do. The Information Commissioner’s Office has plain-English guidance on cookies for the public at ico.org.uk/for-the-public/online/cookies.
